Particularly useful for:
- Helping you decide whether to move forward with a behaviour consultation
- The cheapest option for advice
All behaviour consultation options include the following (click on them to view details):
Pre-Consultation
Ahead of any consultation you will send video of your pet's behaviour (at home, on walks, etc.).
History-taking (1 hour)
All consultations begin with a history-taking (1 hour), and this is usually done online. I will ask you lots of questions to allow me to establish the learning factors that are important in the development of your pet's behaviour problem/s. I will also be assessing how you live and interact with your pet, the relationship between different behaviour problems and your pet's emotions and overall arousal levels.
Treatment (1 hour)
I will discuss the development of the problem with you as well as the best way of treating the problem/s. Treating the problem is likely to involve changes in the way you manage and interact with your pet. Positive reinforcement with food, toys and attention will be key. Drug therapy may be an option, and will be discussed.
Post-Consultation
Following all consultations, a written report summarising the consultation will be sent out to you and your vet 1-2 weeks later. A 30-minute telephone review is also included.
The three different behaviour consultation options are:
Option A: Web-based consultation (history-taking and treatment are online): £395
Particularly useful if:
- You want the cheapest full consultation option
- Your main problem is separation-related behaviour where video will be key
Option B: Consultation as a visit to me at PE22 8EE(face-to-face treatment): £450
Particularly useful:
- To look at your dog's behaviour with other dogs
Option C: Consultation as a house visit to you: £525-£625 (largely depending on travel/distance)
Particularly useful:
- To look at your dog's behaviour with visitors to the house
I will give you as much follow-up help/support as you need to help you understand and change your pet's behaviour, following on from the written treatment plan.
30-minute follow-up call: £30
60-minute follow-up as a training session: £65
60-minute follow-up house visit: £70-100
Has your pet been checked at the vet's since the problem behaviour began? If not, I would recommend you do this before proceeding, particularly with a sudden change in behaviour.
Is your pet insured? Check to see if behaviour problems might be covered by your policy.
Visit the Contact Me page, request a behaviour consultation and give me some basic details.
I will reply in 24-48 hours
I will then ask for a deposit.
I will then contact your vet for any medical notes and send you a questionnaire.
